Why Do Some Churches And Pastors Condemn Outrightly? Are They God?

My good friend Estelle Effiom-DeSouza CEO of Glitterati™Bridal/Makeover αnd More, 26 Marian Rd, Calabar. www.facebook.com/makeupbyglitterati. www.glitterati55.blogspot.com twitter@ggglitterati  2B0EC319 share her experience with me on what transpired yesterday 16-3-2014.. Αnd so today, amidst the heavy downpour this morning, I woke up extremely tired after that hectic immigration exercise yesterday & decided to go say Thank You Lord, for the gift of life. Service was awesome, & at about 10.30am, the 1st service was over... Awww! I L♥√e my church! So from there, I decided to honour a colleagues child's dedication in α church located in one of the government forsaken & forgotten suburb (not motorable at all and even when trekking, one needs to be careful as not to get your heels stuck inside the rocks) Adorned in a long pencilled skirt & a Peplum Forever 21 top to combat the cold, I felt just right in the skin I wore (or so I thought... until I stepped into that church) Minutes later, after asking for directions to locate this church, I found myself in the midst of a congregation (of not more than 20 worshippers including my colleague) that made mε looked like an alien! From the moments I walked in, I was the cynosure of all eyes, maybe because of my height... I dunno! but from that moment on, after 2 hymns from the hymn book, the sermon changed! Before other invited guests came, Mr. Pastor has started yelling, looking straight at me 'all who wear makeups and jewelleries are going to hell'. Like serious, I'm but α guest in this church & I was well dressed due to the weather & the only thing that was revealing in my dressing were my toes & maybe face! Αnd this man of God was just picking on me becuz I wore makeup & jewelleries & all the holier-than-thou women in there were just taking α glance at mε (none of them wore even wedding rings, as it is α sin) Oops! Smh! U can't condemn me to hell just becuz I decided to make use of the hole in my ears, or becuz I wore a fushia lip! Everyone has his/her opinion! At that point I remembered the woman at the well Jesus spoke with. If Jesus didn't condemn α prostitute, no man of God has the right to send me on α guilt trip. For crying out loud, where is it written in the Bible that looking good is sin? I know the 10 commandments, + the ultimate commandment Jesus gave in the New Testament! He kept emphasizing on makeups and accessories as other guests walked in αnd used α prominent female politician as αn example. Said we all knw her, she pays younger men to service her & that she wakes up daily @ 3am to take her bath, massage, αnd to cover her wrinkles with makeup! Bla bla bla! Ironically, I'm α Professional Makeup Artist, Makeup is my business... My Passion, Makeup is me! & here I was, in this guys church, were he kept screaming that I'm doomed for hell (cuz even the prayer point had "Mαу God help us to stay away from makeup & gold ornaments") So I said to myself, Estelle, you've sentenced all your clients to hell with you, by encouraging & enchancing beauty & earning your pay thru selling eye pencils! Toh bad! I had no option than to walk out after the offering procession, at least, I honoured the invitation!

33 Aspirant Jostle For PDP Governorship Ticket In Benue

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State says 33 aspirants have indicated interest to contest the governorship election on the platform of the party in 2015. The Benue Chairman of PDP, Dr Emmanuel Agbo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Makurdi on Friday that the party’s primaries must be free and fair. Agbo said that all members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party had resolved to ensure that all candidates were given equal opportunities. “Thirty-three aspirants have so far indicated their interest to contest the party’s governorship ticket in the forthcoming election. “Our primaries must be transparent, free and fair for contesting party members. “We members of the State Working Committee have resolved to provide a level-playing ground for all candidates. “The executive committee members in the state have so far exhibited exemplary leadership qualities towards ensuring that the PDP produces an acceptable candidate that would win the hearts of our electorate. “We have deliberately removed ourselves from the process to make it free for all candidates. “Above all these, all our aspirants have so far abided with the party’s guidelines as they go about the consultations process’’, the party leader said. Agbo said that all the aspirants were good, adding that they would all defend the party “very well’’ if elected. He said that the PDP was the only party in the country capable of delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians. Agbo commended President Goodluck Jonathan for appointing many sons and daughters of the state into top positions and into his cabinet.

Find Out Why Bomb Couldn't Explode In Olumba Olumba Obu Premises.

Yesterday the indomitable power of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu shattered Boko haram and voided their operation in Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star University Of Maiduguri Bethel, a place of worship in Borno State Nigeria.

Boko haram threw bomb inside the Bethel (Church) and in other Churches in that environment and the bomb exploded and did many damages in other churches, but the Almighty Power of Olumba thwarted their effort and the bomb did not explode in Olumba Obu premises Bethel.

It bewildered everybody the power of Olumba when the army were called to come and carry the voilded bomb away from Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star premises. Olumba is wonderful.
Thank You Father

Don Jazzy & His Huge Mavin Gamble

Although his recent achievements dwarf those in the past, his recent signatures might not be as profitable.  In the post-Mo Hits era, the producer/singer and CEO mavin records has signed 2 female acts, Tiwa Savage and the Nigerian/ Sierra-Leonian singer Di’ja along with 2 male acts, Korede Bello and the newest kid, Reekado. Apart from Tiwa savage, the other  artists  are relatively unknown. Making the unknown arts known and bringing them to stardom is the prerequisite for his profit making. Achieving this however might be an almost impossible task.

Unless the enigmatic producer is signing some as back-up vocalists, the chances of promoting all as recording artists the same time and getting the best out of them is almost impossible. Even the greatest record label owners and producers would take it 1 artist at a time. Dr  Dre found Eminem, when Eminem made a name for himself, he (Dre) moved on to 50 cent, and then to Kendrick Lamar. The all conquering  Mr Carter, brought in Kanye first, and now he has  J. Cole.

You can argue that instances sited are from the international scene alone and might not necessarily apply in the local scene, that in fact Don jazzy has done it before by promoting all the Mo-Hit crew members back when Mo-Hit was functional. To clarify this, is to take a good look at Wande Coal’s career. Even the deaf knew that the blackest of them all (Wande) was the most talented of them all, still  he (Wande) had to take the back seat after  1 album just so the whole crew can put their back into making D’banj the mega star. Of course other members of the crew like Dr Sid, D’Prince dropped albums, but how big of a star were they back then, just another member of the crew, like Tyga, Gudda Gudda in the Young Money Cash Money crew.

Skales recently took the exit door from Empire mates, a label which was laddened with the responsibility of promoting Wizkid. The young talented rapper/singer could do little to help himself when more of the company’s resources was focused on Wizkid  and the label’s co-owner Banky W.

This is the horror and frustration that comes along with not being the number one priority in ones record label.
